Palm Beach County football fans enjoy watching Super Bowl

The general manager of Duffy's says the restaurant had extra staff on hand and, in addition to a packed restaurant, sold significantly more to-go orders than usual.

At Duffy's at PGA Boulevard in North Palm Beach, fans rooting for both teams say they had a great time watching the game. WPBF 25 News spoke with some of those fans during the first half.

"It's really emotional," said Michael Bosc, who lives in Riviera Beach and roots for the Kansas City Chiefs. "I mean, it’s the biggest game of the year, the biggest sporting event in this country, so I’m really nervous. I’ve got hairs standing up on my arms, and it’s really wonderful."

"It’s just awesome. The guys work so hard year after year, and they’re finally there again,” said Cheryl Faust of Riviera Beach, who roots for the Philadelphia Eagles.

“I just have been an Eagles fan since I can remember, and so any time they get this far, it just feels so good to be able to watch them and support them,” said Kim Browne of New Jersey, who watched the game at Duffy's.

"You get a crazy amount (of to-go orders) like two or three days before, but it starts up to a week, same thing for reservations, it goes out like a month early,” said Andrew Mendat, the general manager of Duffy's
