ATMOSPHERE
Lively sports grill and bar, with TV sets boasting sports on every wall and team emblems blanketing the place like wing sauce. The outside patio overlooking downtown Stuart is my favorite place, especially when temperatures are pleasant. You can even bring your pooch along for an outdoor meal.
OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE
We munched on some tangy buffalo chicken wings ($12.59 for 10) while we scoured the menu on a recent weeknight. You can choose breaded or naked wings, and I love the mild buffalo sauce here. I settled on the mahi mahi entrée ($17.99), a small but fresh piece of fish nicely blackened and served with my choice of two sides. The mahi tasted freshly caught and sweet, and perfectly complemented my black beans and rice and coleslaw. My daughter loved the mussels marinara ($13.99) and found the shellfish to be plump and nicely cooked inside their shells, swimming in rich tomato sauce.
REASON TO GO:
Fun, lively atmosphere with a bounty of tasty food, this is a family-friendly place to indulge the kids without breaking the bank. There’s also a bar for socializing while cheering on your team, and the outside patio provides a breezy oasis for people-watching. Duffy’s has multiple locations in Palm Beach County and on the Treasure Coast.
SERVICE
Very good. The restaurant was crowded on a recent weeknight, but we were seated promptly outside. The waiter was attentive and friendly.
NOISE LEVEL
Noisy chatter at dinner time, but it matched the lively atmosphere.
KID FRIENDLY
Children can choose from hot dogs, mini cheeseburgers, mac and cheese, angel hair pasta, grilled cheese and chicken tenders, and they can even frost their own cupcake. Tykes eat free every Wednesday with an accompanying adult.
