ORLANDO —

Uh-oh. Your boss didn’t give you the day off and you’re freaking out. You’re throwing the New Year’s Everbash of the century tonight, but I-4 traffic means you’ll have time for only one or maybe two stops.

What do you do?

The team at Duffy’s Sports Grill has created some of the most visually “sexy” New Year’s Eve libations that we could find around town. The restaurant, which just opened near the Mall at Millenia — in the old “Crave” building — demoed an alcoholic drink that is overflowing with fluffy goodness, another one that has a burger literally attached to it, and an appetizer that rivals the night’s fireworks display.

So, here they are. Print me out and shove me in your purse so you can get crackin’!

Cotton Candy Cosmo — Duffy’s Sports Grill

  • 2 oz. Pinnacle Cotton Candy Vodka
  • 1 oz. Cranberry Juice
  • Dash of Fresh Lime Juice

Build in a shaker with ice, strain into a Martini Glass and garnish with cotton candy served in a separate martini glass. Cheers!

Tito’s All-American Handmade Bloody Mary — Duffy’s Sports Grill

  • 2 oz. Tito’s vodka
  • Tomato juice blend
  • Condiments: horseradish, tobacco, Worcestershire (optional)

Rim glass with lime, then your favorite Bloody Mary seasoning (Special ingredient: celery salt).

Add ice to glass, then vodka and tomato juice; shake. Top with vodka floater.

Garnish drink with pickles, celery, pickled/spicy string beans. Top with a certified Angus Beef slider.

Firecracker Shrimp — Duffy’s Sports Grill

  • 8 pieces of small shrimp, peeled and de-veined
  • 3 ounces of white flour
  • Egg wash
  • 2 ounces of kaboom sauce
  • Dip the shrimp into the eggwash and back into the flour.
  • Place shrimp back into eggwash and back into flour and then place into 350-degree fryer for approximately 1 minute or until shrimp are crispy.
  • Remove shrimp from fryer and drain thoroughly
  • Gently toss the shrimp in the kaboom sauce until well-coated
  • Serve with cucumber salad (ingredients below)

Cucumber Salad — Duffy’s Sports Grill

  • 1 English cucumber sliced thin
  • 2 ounces of julienned red pepper
  • 2 ounces of julienned serrano peppers
  • 1 ounce of rice wine vinaigrette (ingredients below)
  • Add salt and fresh-cracked pepper to taste
  • Mix all ingredients thoroughly

Rice Wine Vinaigrette — Duffy’s Sports Grill

  • 1 cup of rice wine vinegar
  • 12 ounces of granulated sugar
  • 1.5 ounces of sea salt
  • Mix all ingredients thoroughly

All-American Bacon Cheeseburger — Duffy’s Sports Grill

  • Brioche slider bun
  • 1/2 ounce of melted butter
  • 2-ounce burger patty (two)
  • 1 slice of American cheese
  • Slice of pepper-crusted bacon
  • 10-inch skewer
  • Toast the brioche slider bun with the butter in a pan on medium heat until golden brown
  • Place the 2-ounce burger patty onto the grill or pan and cook 2 minutes before the desired temperature is reached
  • Place the slice of American cheese on the patty so that it melts
  • Fold in the half slice of pepper-crusted bacon and place on top of the cheese
  • Place the patty on the bottom of the toasted bun and then secure the top bun in place with the 10-inch skewer going through the burger, leaving about 1 inch at the top
