Expect an April shower of new local eateries springing up this month. Here’s the forecast for what’s heading our way.
Duffy’s Estero
After being temporarily closed since the pandemic initially shut down restaurants last year, Duffy’s Sports Grill finally plans to reopen its Estero location this month. Reopening day is scheduled for April 19.
The Florida-based chain reopened its other locations last July, but Duffy’s Estero restaurant is the last of the 34 locations to resume operation. While Duffy’s President Joe Webb reports that the Estero location was “undergoing some stunning renovations,” the extensive work may not have been elective. Water reportedly damaged the restaurant while it was closed, so it had to basically be gutted.
Duffy’s, 21253 Stoneybrook Golf Blvd., originally launched in Estero in February 2015 at a Stoneybrook community spot off Corkscrew Road that previously had been Stoney’s Sports Cafe and other sports bars. For more information call 239-301-0944 or go to www.duffysmvp.com.
